Police in Bilira, Ntcheu District, have recovered 37 cattle that were stolen from the area.
Ntcheu Police spokesperson Jacob Khembo said the owner of the cattle, Haswell Moses, 35, of Hola Village, reported to Bilira Police that his livestock had been stolen the previous night.
The cattle, valued at K105 million, were later found in Mawuyama Village, where three young men were seen grazing them. However, the suspects fled upon seeing the police.
The recovered cattle were taken to Bilira Police Station, where Moses identified them as his.
Khembo has since appealed to the public to assist the police in tracing the three suspects who are still at large.
