Ezri Konsa has hailed the impact of Unai Emery on his "amazing" growth in football.

Konsa has developed into one of the top centre-backs in the country in recent seasons and has been a key part of Villa's rise under Emery which has seen them go from relegation candidates to Champions League quarter-finalists.

The 28-year-old has also cemented himself in Thomas Tuchel's plans, starting all but one of the German's eight games in charge, which is a good position to find himself in during a World Cup year.

"I just feel right now, at this moment in time, I'm enjoying my football a lot," Konsa said.

"I feel confident going into games and obviously working under Unai the last three seasons, it's been really important.
