An Ingleby Barwick home has been boarded up after a car smashed into the house in a late-night incident. Emergency services were called to Kenwood Crescent following reports a car had driven into the house and then fled the area.

The front of the detached home suffered "extensive damage" and has since been boarded up. An investigation into the incident - which happened at around 11pm on Tuesday, November 11 - is ongoing.

Photographs from the scene show the front of the house has been boarded up. Orange barriers, strewn with police tape, have been placed in front of the property.

Emergency services were called to Kenwood Crescent, Ingleby Barwick, following reports a car had driven into the house and fled the area.
