A man died Monday after tragically being trapped underneath a cotton harvester near Moon Lake Road, according to the Coahoma County Fire Department (CCFD).
The man was later identified as 59-year-old Willie Frank Page, of Farrell, Mississippi.
Preliminary investigation into the incident revealed that Page, who was an employee of Coahoma Tire Shop, was replacing a tire on the cotton harvester.
The cotton harvester was up on blocks and somehow slipped off.
Emergency crews from CCFD, Pafford EMS, and local law enforcement were dispatched around 4:38 p.m. When responders arrived, they found the victim entrapped with life-threatening injuries. First responders worked with a local wrecker service and maintenance technicians to free the man following an extended rescue effort.
