NEWAYGO COUNTY — A missing juvenile from Oakland County was safely recovered early Thursday after deputies executed a search warrant at a home in Newaygo County.

The Newaygo County Sheriff’s Office said in a Nov. 13 news release that deputies located Jeanella Nicholas, who had been reported missing Nov. 10 after she did not return home from school in Rochester Hills.

Investigators said they acted on information indicating she may have been in the Newaygo County area.

Deputies executed the search warrant around 2 a.m. at a residence in the 12,000 block of North Bingham Avenue in Lilly Township. Nicholas was interviewed and then turned over to Oakland County authorities for further care and coordination.
