In The Sunday Nov. 9 edition of The Patriot-News, Armstrong Williams wrote a commentary bemoaning the downfall of the rule of law. His point was rooted in the generality of “both sides are to blame.”

While I don’t completely disagree, I was taken by one sentence: “We must once again teach that liberty is not license, that freedom requires responsibility, and that the rule of law must apply evenly or it applies to no one.”

While Mr. Williams does not say who exactly should be taught, I would suggest he begin with the convicted current resident and destroyer of the White House.
