When a suspicious partner reaches for their other half’s phone, their first move is usually to check text messages.

But just because nothing incriminating shows up, doesn’t mean there aren’t secrets hiding in plain sight.

Aussie influencer Skye Wheatley, who has been open about her relationship struggles, has gone viral on TikTok after revealing a little-known iPhone feature that can uncover deleted text messages.

However, the trick only works on Apple devices.

Wheatley told followers to open the built-in Messages app, tap the ‘Edit’ button in the top left corner and select ‘Show recently deleted’.

From there, all recently deleted chats will appear, and any conversation you choose to recover will be restored straight into the inbox for reading (at your own risk).
