Actor James Van Der Beek revealed this week that he is auctioning off memorabilia from his personal collection to help fund his ongoing cancer treatment. The “Dawson’s Creek” star has partnered with Propstore to list several items related to projects he worked on over the last three decades.

“I’ve been storing these treasures for years, waiting for the right time to do something with them, and with all of the recent unexpected twists and turns life has presented recently, it’s clear that the time is now,” Van Der Beek said in an interview with People magazine .

Among the items that will be available are a necklace that Van Der Beek’s character on “Dawson’s Creek” gives to Joey (Katie Holmes) for prom. Clothing he wore in the hit 1999 teen film “Varsity Blues” will also be auctioned of
