New Delhi: The All India Football Federation’s state units have refused to accept the contentious representation clause that was up for adoption as per a Supreme Court directive.
After issuing a clarification over it on October 15, the apex court had given three weeks to AIFF for its adoption.
AIFF sat on it till 48 hours till deadline (November 7) before seeking for approval from member associations by circulation through mail by 6pm of November 9 (Sunday) “to enable timely compliance with the Hon’ble Court’s order”.
Once approved by majority of the members, it would have been placed for ratification at AIFF’s annual general meeting tentatively scheduled before December 22.
But that plan has now gone for a toss as around 20 member units have officially informed their decision to reje
