The state prison in Camp Hill will host a full scale emergency training exercise next week, officials said.
The drill, which is set for 8 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 17, will simulate a major emergency at the facility, which is on Lisburn Road . The event will include participation from prison staff, law enforcement and first responders, according to a news release from the State Correctional Institute Camp Hill.
Officials said people nearby may see an increased presence of emergency vehicles around the prison and in the community, but are reminded that the event is only a drill and there is no cause for concern.
