KINDER, La. (KPLC/KALB) - The Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office said a Kinder High student has been arrested after being accused of bringing a firearm to school.

Sheriff Doug Hebert said detectives began investigating after receiving a report on Nov. 10 that a student had brought a gun to school and pointed it at other students in the parking lot several weeks prior.

Jayden Beniot, 18, of Elton, was arrested and booked into the Allen Parish Jail for aggravated assault with a firearm and carrying a firearm by a student onto school property.
