WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
There are heavy traffic delays Thursday morning along the Interstate 80 connector to Highway 50 in West Sacramento after a big rig crash that is blocking lanes.
Traffic logs from the California Highway Patrol indicate congestion on westbound lanes at the eastbound Highway 50 connector following a crash involving a big rig and a pickup truck around 7:10 a.m.
A CHP traffic log entry at 7:34 a.m. shows that a Sigalert is in effect, which is issued when road officials anticipate significant traffic disruptions or shutdowns for an extended amount of time.
It is unknown when the roadways will be clear and reopened.
