For most, "Monroe" was written in pencil during the preseason as the 2025 Section V football Class B champion.

The Red Jackets have a chance to make a more permanent mark Nov. 14, while Honeoye Falls-Lima tries to write an upset story in the Section V Class B championship at Rush-Henrietta.

Monroe was sectional semifinalists in Class A last season and the top choice to win the section's Class B title this fall. They were a Class B state tournament semifinalist in 2023.
