KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI — Police have identified the man killed in a recent shooting in Kalamazoo County.
Joshua Russcher, 35, of Kalamazoo was shot and killed around 11:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, in the 3500 block of Comstock Village Lane in Comstock Township, the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
Despite lifesaving efforts by emergency responders, Russcher died at the scene.
His friends and family have posted messages of condolences on social media along with news articles about the death.
Police are investigating the case as a homicide.
A person of interest was arrested at a separate location and had not been charged while being held in custody on other charges, Undersheriff Michelle Greenlee said on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
It was the 11th homicide in Kalamazoo County this year,
