In a bid to boost scientific studies and innovation in Eastern India, while fostering curiosity and education in science, particularly among the youth, the Odisha state government has decided to construct a Science City in Bhubaneswar.

The project will span 100 acres and aims to create a hub for scientific exploration and learning.

To review the progress of the proposed Science City, Minister for Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare, Science & Technology, Krushna Chandra Patra, visited the potential sites in Bhubaneswar. The sites are located in Haripur and Bhagabatipur mouzas under the Bhubaneswar tehsil. Minister Patra toured the areas and held discussions with departmental officials to evaluate their suitability.
