With more Americans bracing for a tighter holiday season, Walmart is about to debut its newest Black Friday schedule two weeks early.

The first Walmart Deals Event will begin online and in stores on Friday, Nov. 14, and run through Sunday, Nov. 16. Walmart+ members will get five hours of early online access at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

The second event will start on Tuesday, Nov. 25, and continue through Sunday, Nov. 30. Online-only deals will be available through Thanksgiving, then expand to physical stores on Friday, Nov. 28.

Cyber Monday closes out the season with online-exclusive deals on Monday, Dec. 1.

"For years, Walmart has owned Black Friday — and this year we're proving why," said Walmart US president and CEO John Furner. "We're dropping up to 60% off top brands and offering thousands of deals under $20, making it clear: nobody does low prices like we do."

The deals join Walmart's Thanksgiving feast offer that claims to feed up to 10 people for less than $40.

"Just like our Thanksgiving Meal Basket, we're leading on convenience and rewriting what value looks like, helping customers have their best, brightest, and most budget-friendly holiday yet," Furner said.

The expanded schedule comes as most holiday shoppers plan to pull back in 2025.

A new WalletHub survey found that 85% of Americans expect to spend the same or less over the holidays than in 2024, while only 15% say they'll spend more. Nearly two-thirds of Americans say their financial issues will make the holiday season "less fun."

The findings mirror other national forecasts, including a September outlook from PricewaterhouseCoopers. PwC said that holiday budgets are expected to drop 5% in 2025, the first decline since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Walmart is responding with thousands of gifts under $20 and huge discounts across tech, toys, apparel, and home essentials. Deals in the first Walmart Deals Event include a 98-inch TCL QLED 4K Google TV for $998 (down from $1,798), a Dyson V12 Detect Slim cordless vacuum cleaner for $399.99 (down from $729), and a Barbie Malibu Travel Playset for $12.

Walmart is also rolling out "WhoKnewVille," an advertising campaign inspired by the world of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" by Dr. Seuss.
