Police say they are still on the lookout for a man wanted for a hate crime assault on the Q83 bus on Tuesday, Sept. 30, in St. Albans.

A 22-year-old woman was on board the bus by the vicinity of Farmers Boulevard and 113th Avenue when an unidentified man, wearing a black durag, pants and shoes, along with a maroon jacket, carrying a black backpack, started making inquiries about her sexual orientation while they were sitting next to one another, said the NYPD.

The assailant then punched the victim in the face, leaving her with lacerations, said police.

The unidentified man then disembarked from the bus and fled on foot going east on the boulevard, said the NYPD.

The incident was reported to police around 10:38 p.m.
