PAGELAND, S.C. (WBTV) - A manhunt was underway in Chesterfield County on Thursday morning for a suspect believed to be wearing full camouflage.

According to the sheriff’s office , deputies began searching for the man, identified as Kurt Wilson, around 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, in the Dudley Road area of Pageland.

Authorities have not yet said what prompted the search, but urged residents to remain vigilant and avoid the area.

An increased law enforcement presence is expected, and a bloodhound tracking team has been deployed.

Anyone who sees suspicious activity or someone matching Wilson’s description is asked to call 911 immediately and not approach the individual.
