POSEY COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) — A local man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for drug dealing charges in Posey County.

The Posey County Prosecutor's Office says 47-year-old Anthony Apodaca of Princeton was sentenced on Thursday morning.

A jury previously found Apodaca guilty of dealing meth, possession of meth, and possession of paraphernalia. Apodaca was also found guilty of being a habitual offender due to prior convictions.

Apodaca was pulled over in 2023 with more than 400 grams of meth. He later confessed to making multiple trips to St. Louis to pick up large quantities of meth to sell in Princeton.

According to Indiana law, Apodaca faced a range of 28 to 50 years in prison at sentencing.
