The New England Patriots are scorching hot as they prepare for their Week 11 action. Seven straight wins have pushed their record to 8-2, and at the center of their success is second-year quarterback Drake Maye .

In his first full season as a starter, Maye has turned himself into a legitimate MVP candidate. Through 10 games, Maye has thrown for 2,555 yards and 19 touchdowns, while also rushing for 283 yards and another pair of scores.

There’s no doubt that Maye’s play under center is helping New England win games. If you ask former Pro Bowl wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson, though, he believes that head coach Mike Vrabel and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels are more responsible for the team’s hot start to the season than Maye.
