A leopard leapt at a female traveller while she was on safari trip Thursday in Karnataka. The woman suffered injuries after the big cat allegedly tried to attack her through the mesh window of the safari bus she was sat in Bannerghatta National Park.

Officials identified the woman as Vahita Banu and said that she was in her 50s. They added that she was immediately given first aid and later shifted to a private hospital for further treatment.

They also said that the incident happened on Thursday afternoon during the leopard safari trip.
