SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Chef Craig von Foerster of Harvest Restaurant in Rogersville shared his cranberry apple chutney recipe, a perfect addition to holiday meals.
The simple recipe combines fresh or frozen cranberries with Honeycrisp apples and takes about 10 minutes to prepare. Von Foerster said the chutney pairs well with turkey, ham or other holiday dishes.
The recipe uses common ingredients and requires minimal cooking time, making it accessible for home cooks preparing holiday meals.
Ingredients:
1 pound fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup orange juice
3 strips of orange peel
1 vanilla bean, split
1 Honeycrisp apple, peeled and chopped
Instructions:
Place all ingredients in a heavy-bottom pot
Stir with a heatproof spatula
Place on medium-high burner and cook
