Christy Martin is coming to Sydney Sweeney ‘s defense.

Earlier this week, Ruby Rose took to social media to slam the 28-year-old Emmy-nominated actress following the release of her new biopic Christy , which is based on the female boxer’s life.

Ruby , 39, claimed that she was originally supposed to star in the movie, called Sydney a “cretin,” and said that she “ruined the film.”

After Ruby ‘s harsh comments made headlines, Christy took to Instagram to show her support for Sydney .

“I’ve always been a fighter. My life reflected that in every way and now I fight for others,” Christy wrote on Wednesday, November 12. “The past few days I have seen some people attack my friend Sydney Sweeney.”
