Lake Charles, La [KNGT-FM] - Another big announcement has been made about cruise ships and the Port of Galveston, Texas. It has just been announced that the largest cruise ship in the world will be making the Port of Galveston its home in 2027.

This mega ship, Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas , was built and completed in 2023 and made its maiden voyage on January 27, 2024, out of the port of Miami. It has been sailing out of Florida since January 2024, but it was announced that it would be moving to Galveston, Texas, in 2027. Getty Images Getty Images loading...
