2025 finds another success for Alan Ritchson , as his new action-comedy installment on Prime Video is climbing the streaming charts. While Reacher has become one of Ritchson's most prominent projects, the 42-year-old actor is bringing additional views to Prime Video through one of their original films.

As Playdate debuted on Prime Video on November 12, 2025, the comedy film with Ritchson and Kevin James has become a big streaming hit for the platform. Despite its 23% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes, the movie is trending as #1 in the U.S. for Prime Video , followed by Dr Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas at #2, Tyler Perry's Finding Joy at #3, and Wicked at #4.
