With the federal government reopened, Vermont has received word that people on food assistance will see their November benefits paid by tomorrow, or Monday if they receive them via direct deposit.

“I am pleased to be able to say that just after noon we received a memo from the USDA authorizing us to release full November benefits for the SNAP population,” said Miranda Gray, deputy commissioner of the Economic Services Division, at a scheduled Emergency Board meeting Thursday.
