TOLEDO, Ohio — The director of a now defunct nonprofit and ministry program intended for incarcerated men pleaded guilty on Wednesday to multiple charges related to theft according to court a press release from Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost.
Thomas Ostrosky, former director of "The Lazarus Experience," pleaded guilty to the following charges:
Engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity
Theft from a person in a protected class
Solicitation fraud
Telecommunications fraud
Each of the charges are felonies, Yost's office said. Ostrosky was indicted on these charges in April 2025.
According to the press release, Ostrosky, 52, stole more than $207,000 from his nonprofit and its donors. Yost's office specified this included donations from elderly Ohioans.
