Glendale shares the spirit of Christmas at its annual Hometown Christmas Parade, where the community comes together to honor the true star of the season: Jesus Christ.
The parade starts at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 and the route is on Glendale Avenue, from 51st Avenue to 58th Avenue.
In the center of downtown Glendale, this festive event features a marching band competition, floats and awards for the best Christmas Spirit.
All proceeds benefit Hope for Hunger, a Glendale-based food bank that brings help and hope to local families in need.
Attendees will include Mayor Jerry P. Weiers and honorary marshall Mel Martin, founder of the Martin Auto Museum on the border of Glendale and Phoenix.
Local mascots from professional and collegiate teams will be featured in the parade, as will more
