The 2028 Olympics are changing track and field for women.

Los Angeles plans to start off the summer games with a bang. On Wednesday, LA28 announced the track & field/athletics schedule for the 2028 Olympic Games to be held in Los Angeles from July 14-30, 2028.

The Los Angeles 2028 Olympics will kick off with the women’s 100m final taking place on day one and the men’s 100m final on the second day.

In fact, World Athletics announced that all three rounds of the women’s 100 meters will be held on the same day.

The morning session on July 15th, 2028, will feature the women’s 100m prelims and the women’s 100m first round. The evening session will have the women’s 100m semifinal and final to close out the session.

Day 1 will also feature the women’s shot put final and men’s 10,000m final.
