Prosecutors charged a 22-year-old man who police say vandalized 11 NYPD vehicles outside of a precinct stationhouse in Queens on Monday night, according to a criminal complaint.
Christian Genwright was charged with 10 counts of criminal mischief for the vandalism near the headquarters of the NYPD's 116th Precinct in Rosedale, according to the Queens district attorney’s office.
The vandalism is the second time in recent months that suspects have targeted parked NYPD vehicles in the city. Jakhi McCray set 10 police vehicles on fire in a Brooklyn parking lot in June, federal prosecutors say. McCray was charged with arson and pleaded not guilty.
