MOORHEAD — A state lawmaker from Moorhead is running for the U.S. House of Representatives.
Rep. Heather Keeler, DFL-Moorhead, announced her campaign for Congress in Minnesota District 7 on Thursday, Nov. 13. She seeks to challenge incumbent Republican Rep. Michelle Fischbach in the November 2026 election.
Keeler was elected to represent Minnesota House District 4A in 2020. While in the House, she has focused on addressing issues like homelessness, school truancy and mental health access. In a press release announcing her campaign, Keeler called out her bipartisan work on the Pathway Home Act to address homelessness, securing emergency food shelf funding, expanding SNAP access and leading the School Attendance Task Force.
If elected to Congress, Keeler plans to continue her work
