FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Dr. Carole Goldsmith, the chancellor of the State Center Community College District, has announced that she is retiring.
She will remain in her role until September 2026.
During a news conference on Thursday, Dr. Goldsmith said the decision comes with a lot of gratitude and a sense of completion.
She highlighted an increase in enrollment across the community colleges, including Fresno City College reaching 20,000 students.
Goldsmith has been the chancellor of the district since 2022. She previously served as the president of Fresno City College and Coalinga College.
