The controversy surrounding Cleveland State University’s decision to hand over its beloved student-run radio station WCSB to Ideastream just keeps brewing — partly because the school works so hard to keep it secret.

On Thursday’s episode of Today in Ohio, the hosts criticized both CSU and Ideastream for signing a non-disclosure agreement before the station was shuttered and rebranded as Jazz Neo. The secrecy kept students, listeners, and the public in the dark about plans that have sparked widespread outrage.

“The NDA was signed by CSU President Laura Bloomberg and Ideastream President Kevin Martin,” Lisa Garvin said. “It went into effect March 17. That was seven months ago.”
