Two teenage boys are facing first-degree murder charges in the death of a 16-year-old Calgary boy in August, and charges are incoming for a third.

Carter Spivak-Villeneuve was killed in the early morning hours of Friday, Aug. 1 when he was on his way to his home in Abbeydale.

Investigators believe the group of suspects knew the victim and arranged to meet him that night.

“Carter’s death is alleged to be the result of an ongoing dispute,” the Calgary Police Service said Thursday.

On Nov. 4, with the help of RCMP, a 15-year-old boy was arrested on the Muskowekwan First Nation in Saskatchewan. He has since been charged with one count of first-degree murder and is scheduled to appear in a Calgary courtroom on Friday.
