TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Nearly two months after being shot in the head, Ethan Pritchard was all smiles as he rang a bell signaling his official discharge from Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital in Jacksonville.
The true freshman Florida State linebacker from Sanford spent over a month recovering at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital before being moved to the rehabilitation center to continue the next phase of his recovery.
WCTV spoke with Ethan’s father, Earl Pritchard, over the phone on Thursday afternoon. He said his son is grateful for the community support as he continues on his recovery.
Pritchard’s release from rehab comes a little over two months after his car was ambushed by a spray of gunfire while driving two family members, including a 3-year-old, home from a cookout.
