After 25 years of doing it remotely, the Ontario Hockey League is returning to a live draft.
Draft-eligible players from Canada and the United States will have a chance to hear their names called and meet their new teams at the event, set to be held June 12 and 13 at Kingston’s Slush Puppie Place .
“It’s a special opportunity to bring our teams, players, families and fans together in one place to celebrate what is often one of the most memorable days in a young player’s life,” OHL commissioner Bryan Crawford said in a news release.
