HARRISBURG, Pa. — After a four-month impasse in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, officially has a budget.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro (D) signed a $50 billion fully balanced budget on Wednesday.

With the delay in the budget, schools across the region were operating for months without funds.

Several districts in Luzerne County are hitting a crisis level, with talks of shuttering if the stalemate doesn't end.

However, Governor Josh Shapiro says this budget delivers $900 million more in funding for public schools.

"Our schools in Luzerne County, they are going to see 347 million dollars this year. But let me put that into some context. That represents a 40 million dollar increase, compared to just last year. As a result of staying at the table, we looked out for our schools in Luzerne
