A 37-year-old Maspeth man last week pleaded guilty to killing his girlfriend in the Maspeth tavern where she worked, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said.

Katz said Marcin Pieciak, of 79th Street in Maspeth, went to the Ceili House Bar in Maspeth just before 6:30 p.m. on March 30, 2024, where he approached 41-year-old bartender, Sarah McNally, as she worked and stabbed her 19 times in the neck, back and chest. Pieciak then turned the knife on himself, slitting his own throat several times with a second knife, then tried to flee, but was stopped by a bar patron, Katz said.

Police responding to 911 calls found that Pieciak had left the bar with both knives and brandished them toward the cops, who safely disarmed him and recovered the knives, Katz said. A team of FDNY medics rushed Mc
