The Long Island City Partnership (LICP) has launched a new mobility study of Queens Plaza and Jackson Avenue to improve pedestrian safety and the pedestrian experience in the bustling corridor. The study is the first in-depth analysis of the corridor in more than a decade, designed to provide a safer, more accessible and enjoyable experience for residents, workers, visitors, and businesses alike, LICP officials said.

Officials described the corridor as “a critical gateway” into western Queens and a vital hub for transit access, neighborhood connectivity, and commercial activity in Long Island City. The study is funded by a $100,000 grant through a New York State Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) process through the Regional Economic Development Council (REDC), in addition to $40,000
