Officers from the Bundaberg Highway Patrol have charged a 55-year-old Rockhampton man and a 51-year-old Kepnock man with drug and drink driving, respectively, during patrols this week.

Around 7.45am on 10 November, police stopped a Mitsubishi Outlander for a roadside breath test (RBT) on Walla Street, Bundaberg Central.

The driver, a 51-year-old Kepnock man, recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.146 per cent – approximately 2.9 times the legal limit.

He was charged with one count of drink driving and is due to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on 11 December.

Around 6pm on 11 November, police intercepted a semitrailer on the Bruce Highway in Booyal, after observing the vehicle allegedly travelling at 100km/h in an 80km/h zone.
