FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas Athletic Director Hunter Yurachek will now have a say in which teams will make the College Football Playoffs this season.

Thursday afternoon the Hogs AD was nominated and approved by commissioners to join the College Football Selection committee as the chairman, after Baylor Athletic Director Mack Rhoades stepped away from the role.

"We are pleased to announce that Hunter Yurachek will assume the role of Selection Committee Chair, effective immediately," College Football Playoff Executive Director Rich Clark in a statement. "Hunter's experience, integrity, and commitment to the game make him exceptionally well-suited to lead the committee as it continues its important work throughout the remainder of the season."
