An Alabama woman is under arrest after nearly 100 cats were rescued from her property.
Lisa Christine Miller, 58, is charged with animal cruelty, Tallapoosa County Sheriff Jimmy Abbett said.
Deputies were dispatched Monday to a report of abandoned animals in the 200 block of Centerport Road in Dadeville
Abbett said authorities found numerous cats of all ages and sexes that had no litter boxes, no food or water, and had been left out in freezing temperatures.
New Hope Rescue was contacted and coordinated with Angie’s Dog House in Foley. In all, 92 cats were rescued and taken to a facility in Foley.
Charging documents against Miller state that the felines were malnourished and ill.
Additional details weren’t immediately available, but authorities said Miller was living at the residence
