Michigan deer hunters are gearing up and heading to their blinds for the start of the season this weekend.

The 2025 firearm season starts Saturday, Nov. 15, and runs through Sunday, Nov. 30. Hunting will be open statewide on public and private lands.

Last year, Michigan hunters harvested nearly 180,000 deer during the two-week regular firearm season, which was about half of the total deer harvest from all seasons combined.
