Democrats on Wednesday released emails written by Jeffrey Epstein , the wealthy New York financier convicted of sex trafficking underage girls, in which he discussed Donald Trump , joked about the mental health of former Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz, and corresponded with Harvard’s former president Larry Summers .
Epstein died by suicide in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal charges. Trump has consistently denied any knowledge of Epstein’s crimes and has said he ended their relationship years ago.
