EUGENE, Ore. -The North Eugene girl’s soccer team's undefeated run this fall has been one of the most dominant storylines in Oregon high school soccer, and at the center of it all is junior goalkeeper Rylie Hosek.
The Highlanders have leaned on her poise, discipline, and sheer toughness all season, and the numbers back up just how critical she’s been to their 17-0 record.
Through the regular season and the first three rounds of the playoffs, Hosek has established herself as one of the best goalkeepers in the state.
She leads all of 5A girls soccer in nearly every major defensive category: most shutouts (13), including seven against top-10 opponents; fewest total goals allowed (4); fewest goals allowed against 5A competition (just one, and it came on a penalty kick in the second round);
