Akron Public Schools has suspended a facility services supervisor over allegations that include misconduct and unauthorized entry of district property.

But the supervisor is pushing back, claiming the allegations are retaliation against his continued efforts to “uphold safety and accountability” within the district.

Darian Johnson , who became facility services supervisor in August 2024, was placed on paid administrative leave Nov. 7, pending an internal investigation, according to a copy of the notice that Johnson shared with the Akron Beacon Journal.
