HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. —
A crash along Interstate 26 in Henderson County has caused a significant impact to traffic on Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened on I-26 mile marker 53.5 near US-25 and Flat Rock.
According to North Carolina Department of Transportation, the road is closed half a mile west of Exit 54/US-25. Heavy traffic is expected to last in the area until 7 p.m.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes if possible.
