Federal health officials are investigating 15 cases of infant botulism across 12 states potentially linked to ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula, prompting the Southern Nevada Health District to issue guidance for local families, officials said today in a news release.

ByHeart has voluntarily expanded its recall to include all batches of its Whole Nutrition Infant Formula, including both cans and single-serve Anywhere Pack packets. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food and Drug Administration are investigating the cases.

All infants in the national investigation were hospitalized, though no deaths have been reported. No confirmed cases have been reported in Clark County.
