No one can say this has been an uneventful year.

We've had highs, like the Thunder's NBA championship and a strong community recommitment to the Oklahoma Standard of helping our neighbors at the 30th anniversary of the OKC bombing.

And we've needed those to help us through low points like the abrupt interruption of the SNAP food stamp benefits so many Oklahomans depend upon.

So, Thanksgiving is fast approaching, a time reserved by many for taking a pause, gathering with family and loved ones, and giving thanks for the good things we've experienced throughout the year.
