Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani finally has a meeting booked with NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch in the “coming weeks,” sources said — ending the wait for possible proof he’ll hold onto the promised powwow.

Mamdani has pledged to keep the well-regarded, tough-on-crime Tisch as his top cop, a move that has helped assuage some fears over his public safety priorities, given he called the NYPD “racist” in 2020.

A lineup of powerful New Yorkers — such as Gov. Kathy Hochul , House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-Brooklyn) and business community bigwig Kathy Wylde — as well as police unions have both publicly and privately pushed the socialist to keep Tisch.
